Description Stellar ELRS
The Stellar ELRS receiver is based on the ExpressLRS project, an open source RC channel for RC applications.
ExpressLRS strives to achieve the best channel performance in terms of speed, latency, and range.
This makes ExpressLRS one of the fastest RC channels available yet delivers long-range performance.
Telemetry power: 20 dBm (100 mW) (using Bandera custom firmware)
Frequency ranges 915 MHz/868 MHz
Input voltage: 5V
Antenna connector: IPEX MHF
The ExpressLRS uses the Crossfire serial protocol (also known as the CRSF protocol) to communicate between the receiver and the flight controller board. Therefore, make sure that the flight controller board supports the CRSF serial protocol. Next, we use a flight controller with Betaflight firmware to show how to configure the CRSF protocol.
The connection between the Stellar ELRS receiver and the FC board is shown below.
Enable the appropriate UART (eg UART3 below) as Serial Rx in the Ports tab of the Betaflight Configurator.
On the Configuration tab, select Serial Receiver in the Receiver panel and select CRSF as the protocol. Telemetry is optional here and will reduce the refresh rate of the flash drive due to the fact that these transmission slots are used for telemetry.
